Any way to recalibrate SMSRotateD?

I'm trying to use this program on my Macbook Pro, but (I assume) because of the switching around of axis and recalibration of sensors in newer computers it just flips around crazily. Is there any chance of a version that is compatible with the newer systems?

Failing that, would it be possible to release the screen rotating aspect of it without the motion sensor integration?
